Body Theater at the Nemours Hospital for Children in Wilmington, DE
The Body Theater allows Nemours to combine two of its strengths, outstanding clinical care and award-winning health education. Designed by John Geralis at the Nemours Center for Children’s Health Media/KidsHealth, the Body Theater combines stunning visuals to draw in families and once engaged, state-of-the art programming to educate children, their families and caregivers about asthma.
Families who are waiting for care and for results are particularly receptive to focused education – particularly when it is entertaining and engaging. From the perspective of the health provider, any way to help patients learn and to help pass the time is much appreciated.
Body Theater addresses these issues – with virtually no action required on the part of the care-providers to maintain or program.
